Before You Order

How long until my order is made and sent?

It depends on the piece. Items that are already made — most bracelets, earrings and pendants — are dispatched within a few days. Made-to-order pieces such as rings and ear plugs or tunnels are cut and shaped for you and can take up to 10 working days. If your order is likely to take longer than that, I'll contact you.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, until it has been dispatched — just message with your order number. Once it has shipped, cancellation is no longer possible and the return policy applies instead. Items made to your own design or specification may not be eligible for cancellation.

Can you make something in my size or colours?

Yes. Most rings and bracelets can be adjusted or made to order. Please message before ordering to confirm the details.

Can I send my own skateboard to be turned into jewellery?

Yes — but this option is available for UK customers only. Please get in touch to discuss the process before sending your board.

Do you take commissions or couple sets?

Yes. Custom colour combinations, couple sets, and from your board orders are available on request — just message me to arrange it.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?

After dispatch, delivery to the UK takes 2–4 working days. The US and Canada take around 7–15 working days, and Europe takes 3–6 working days. Add the making time above to work out when your parcel will arrive.

Where do you ship to?

Currently, I ship to the UK, US, Canada and Europe. This may change in the future — if you are outside these countries, please get in touch before ordering.

Will I have to pay customs or import duties?

Customers outside the UK are responsible for any customs fees or import taxes charged by their country. These are not included in the item price or shipping cost.

Can I track my order?

UK orders are always sent with tracking. For international orders, tracking depends on the shipping method you select at checkout — the standard, cheapest option is not tracked.

What if my parcel doesn't arrive?

If your parcel hasn't arrived after the estimated time, please contact me and I'll help trace or replace it if needed. For untracked international shipping, items lost in transit cannot be traced or replaced, as there is no delivery confirmation — choose the tracked option if that matters to you.

Returns & Problems

Can I return something?

Yes. You can request a return within 14 days of delivery — email info@balticdew.com with your order number, or use the return option in your account. Items need to come back unused and in their original packaging. Return postage is yours unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.

What if my order arrives damaged or faulty?

Contact me within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the problem. Depending on the piece, I'll offer a replacement, a repair or a refund, and you won't pay return postage.

Can plugs and tunnels be returned?

Not once they have been worn — for hygiene reasons that isn't possible. If they arrive faulty or damaged, contact me within 14 days and it will be put right. Unworn pairs in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days like anything else.

What if I order the wrong ring size?

If the size you ordered turns out to be wrong, I'll remake it in the correct size once, free of charge — you only cover the postage. Wooden rings are shaped to a fixed size and cannot be resized. The size chart page has a full UK, European and US conversion table and shows how to measure at home.

Can custom orders be returned?

Pieces made to your own design or specification may not be eligible for return or cancellation under consumer law. If something isn't right, message me — I'd rather sort it than have you keep something you're unhappy with.

Materials & Care

What are the pieces made from?

All jewellery is handmade from recycled maple skateboard wood. Metal parts are stainless steel, silver plated, or rhodium plated depending on the design.

What makes recycled skateboard wood different from other wooden jewellery?

Most wooden jewellery is cut from a single species such as oak, walnut or koa. A skateboard deck is seven layers of maple ply pressed together, and those layers carry different colours. Cutting into a used deck exposes them as stripes running through the piece. The colour sits inside the wood rather than on the surface, and the pattern depends on which board the piece came from.

Are the colours natural or painted?

The colours come from the skateboard's own dyed layers — that's how the board was made, I don't add any dye or paint myself.

Is the wood waterproof?

No. The wood is sealed, making it water-resistant but not waterproof. Avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to moisture.

How should I clean or store my jewellery?

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep away from water, heat, or direct sunlight. Store it in its box when not in use.

I have sensitive ears or skin — can I wear your jewellery?

Ear plugs and tunnels are finished with skin safe oil. Earring fittings are stainless steel posts, stainless steel hoops or sterling silver leverbacks depending on the design. If you react to a particular metal, message before ordering — I can tell you what a given pair uses, and a different fitting can usually be fitted instead.

How is the jewellery packaged?

Each order comes in a gift box with care instructions. The box fits into a large letter postal box for safe delivery, so no extra wrapping is used.
